APPLICATOR INFORMATION

Applicator examination applicants will mail an application for examination to the Board, along with the required fee of $55. Once the applicant has been approved for testing by the Board, a Candidate Handbook will be mailed to the applicant. After the applicant receives the Candidate Handbook, he or she will contact the computer based testing vendor, PSI, and schedule their examination at one of 17 locations in California or 22 locations nationwide.

The applicant has six months from date of the application to take the examination. Should the applicant not schedule and take the examination within six months of becoming eligible for the examination, the application and fee will be considered abandoned. To become eligible again for the same examination, a candidate must send the Board a new application for examination and fee.

If the candidate fails the examination, they will be given an application for re-examination along with their examination results. The application for re-examination along with the required fee of $55 must be submitted to the Board for the candidate to be allowed to take the examination again. Please note that if the candidate fails or does appear for the scheduled examination, the candidate will not become eligible for the same examination for 15 days from the last scheduled examination date.

If the candidate passes the examination, they will receive an Application for Applicator License along with their examination results. The Application for Applicator License must be submitted to the Board along with the required $10 fee to be considered for licensure.

FIELD REPRESENTATIVE INFORMATION

Field Representative examination applicants will continue to mail an application for examination to the Board, along with the required fee of $50. Once the applicant has been approved for testing by the Board, a Candidate Handbook will be mailed to the applicant. After the applicant receives the Candidate Handbook, he or she will contact the computer based testing vendor, PSI, and schedule their examination at one of 17 locations in California or 22 locations nationwide.
